Love the eye shadow and Mick's outfits. These songs should be played on Tour as well

I've only watched the Dancing With Mr. D promo once so far but it sounds different to the album version - does anyone know if it's a live vocal take over an album backing track?

Great song in my opinion - I don't see why it gets slated all the time as being a SFTD knockoff

Yeah, I don't get the SFTD connection either.

I can only think it's because so many people think Mr D is the Devil, rather than Death.

I was listening to the Brussels Affair tonight and thinking it was time they got this one out of mothballs.

Here is the US, I remember seeing those GHS clips premiering on Don Kirshner's Rock Concert. The ads beforehand made one think they were going to actually see the Stones play live on TV, but it was cool to see the videos...long before MTV popularized such!

Some people mistake the D for the devil. But it is death Mick is singing about.

EDIT: Didn't see Aquamarine's post smiling smiley

Perhaps people don't pay much attention to all the lyrics?

Anyway, does the second Angie promo feature a live vocal track as well? Sorry for all the questions but I'm fairly new to the Stones (on video).

Also the song has an ominous sound. The chorus is almost like a chant, the way they emphasize the words.

I never have seen a good explanation as to why they did Angie twice on Kirshner's show. The arrangements weren't any different, apart from a slight difference to Mick's vocal, and Mick Taylor pretending to play Nicky Hopkins' piano part.

Mr. D in this clip is a bit different than the album version. Still one of the more overlooked Stones songs IMHO. Wouldn't you love to hear the Stones do this song, along with Winter, Heartbreaker, Hide Your Love, in concert? I love the Worried About You clip. It's so fluckin' bad. Mick is doing his best impression of Davie Bowie from Bowie's "Thin White Duke" era, Keith is riffing off of his high, Ronnie's somewhere in space and Bill and Charlie's expressions say the same - "Can you believe we have to work with these twits?"

It looks similar to the other two clips from Tattoo You album ('Start Me Up' and 'Hang Fire'). Both Bill and Charlie don't seem to be taking it too seriously...actually, none of them do. All three look like they were shot in one day, only they changed clothes for each clip. They have a 'let's get this over with fast' attitude.
