imo, the most over-rated Stones tune of all time ... going by the amount of people that post how great it is. It simply isn't.

I have always thought this song was a fantastic little piece of pocket rock and roll.

Lovely tune. A daring move by Keith going that far back to the roots in the middle of the 80s thumbs up

Started life as the long anticipated (first mentioned to the "masses" by Peter Doggett in his Record Collector Stones Outtakes series in 1994) "Can't Cut The Mustard". It finally surfaced out of the blue in the early 2000s when the tape made it out of the "inner trading circle" for some reason. Not sure it was worth the wait ;-)

...It may be a bit 'oversimplified', especially to Rolling Stones' standards;
but that counter beat instant by Charlie (near the end?) makes it definitely worth wile. Sounds like taming a horse...

Don't forget that very much of their best work is like that winking smiley

had it with you in my opinion is very poor, its not the sort of song you would play to someone to try to get them into the stones. the whole dirtywork album with few exception is poor, theres no point to it, its a complete muddle.

Would you play She Said Yeah to get friends into the Stones?

Much of the same. Simple rhythm and blues that swings...

possibly best track on Dirty Work.

I have nothing further insulting to say.

Come on, it's ok but's a throwaway tune, let's face it.

You can't help but get the feeling of some fans dissing everything on DW, just because it's there.

It's a nice guitar/harp blues tune with a good sound. Do you really hate that kind of music so much?

Great track, and together with Harlem Shuffle the only two good tracks on the album.

I thought we all agreed some time ago that's why Dirty Work was recorded.

It's not a horrible song, it's just completely forgettable.

Back To Zero, Turn The Girl Loose...they are horrible songs.

Always liked it. It would work very well live, if our boys were more "generous"

That would terrify me, andrea66. Whenever the moaning about everything the Stones are doing/not doing gets bad,
I get this nightmarish vision of a show where the four principles come out, play Had It With You
and it's "Good night everybody! You've been a fvkcin peculiar audience!"

(The track shakes my tailfeather just fine, mind you - but at a show it would scare me to flinders eye popping smiley)

Maybe it's B-list Rolling Stones, but many of those (OK, all of them) have their charms, some of which aren't revealed for years.

It's a throwaway tune, but still fun. Brings back memories the whole mid-80s drama of Jagger and Richards...and the Dirty Work album.

. If it was like you describe you were absolutely right, but once in a while, for example, one time less you got me rockin and had it with you (or other) instead it would be really nice. without touching any warhorses ..
