Building the stage and the technical part of the shows

The stage and all equipment is such a big operation technically. I was just wondering, are there any Stones gigs known where the technical part wasn't ready in time? Or major technical flaws that caused the show to be stopped?

Whow, pretty messy start of the show there. The atmosphere was good though :-)

No show stopper obviously, but in Madrid some of the stage decoration was missing (frames around the screens). Also the outer speaker arrays were mounted in a different way.

Here is a picture from the live report thread:

Heres a picture from Rome (from the same thread) where you can see how the stage was normally set up.

Maybe some of the trucks were late...

In 1997, the hydraulic bridge wasn't ready until the Charlotte show.

I remember reading somewhere that Keith was sleeping late for the 1976 Knebworth Festival and to make it seem like it wasn't the Stones fault that they were going to be late, someone in the Stones crew cut the audio snake cables going to the FOH mixing board before 10CC went on.

Does that count as a technical delay? eye rolling smiley peace
