He did not. Saxophonists were Jackie Kelso and Allan Beutler of the Hollywood Horns.

It was the announcement by George that Jim Horn was on it: that got me to thinking, as Jim worked with the Stones, circa the same time, and was also part of the same Leon Russell / Delaney & Bonnie nexus as Bobby.

A bit of sobering news...a reality check really, these guys are at that age where all sorts of things start acting up.

I hope it isn't anything too serious.

Love to hear more about this -- whether he's just not up for that gruesome flight and the rigors
of the road and performing, or it's something beyond that. In and case, sending positive thoughts
& vibes. I'm sure the shows will be great, but I must say, when Bobby started playing (when I saw
them Oakland May 5, 2013), it gave me major goosebumps. Just to be there with all these guys
assembled, playing and performing with their whole hearts & souls.

His great career goes way back to Bobby Vee and Buddy Holly and longtime with The Stones-Get Well

That is very sad news. I saw Bobby Keys half a year ago in Sydney with his solo band and it really hit me how unique his sound is when they played brown sugar. As with any band covering the song it sounded good but clearly it was missing the stones sense of timing. And then it was time for the sax solo and the world made sense again. It's that unique sound and style that's such a great part of the song. Like with Keith, anyone on this board that plays a bit of guitar can play the notes because it's not all that technical, but we can never make it sound like he does...
