I think they're all funny.

Some are also silly, tired, uninspired, insulting, dumb and a whole lot of other words that wouldn't be so flattering for their artists/writers.

Keep 'em coming folks. Laughter is good. Even when it forces us to laugh at ourselves and the things we like. It's still laughter and there's not nearly enough of it in the world today.

I wish I could find an audio recording of the comedian who pointed out that you'll never hear a reference to Keith Richards in an anti-drug campaign. I laughed out loud while they were insulting one of my idols/heros. I like to think that Keith would have laughed as well.

Peace,
Mr DJA

I'm pretty sure I've read this on an older thread, but it's worth to post it here:

OK, two in a row that aren't based on the old-rock-star-as-inherently-ridiculous theme, we may be approaching actual humor!

(Actually I suppose that last one sort of is, but it's still pretty funny. grinning smiley )

Anybody remember a magazine called Cracked? It was like Mad...I remember a very funny, long cartoon feature on the Stones sometime in the very early 80s. It had to be around the time or after the 81 tour because it was set at a concert and Mick had his 81 hair and tights... In every frame, they had Mick talking business strategy while having sex with Jerry Hall in some way or other...every frame was a different position, but you only saw the long blond hair...
But it was hilarious because it kind of illustrated what people's perceptions of the Stones and Mick was then: sexed up and money-hungry.
I've never been able to find it again.
