Lisa Fisher and Gran Baton

Just caught Lisa Fisher with her band Gran Baton in Hollywood this week. They put on a great show! Along with a great set she performed 3 Stones songs, IORR, Gimmie Shelter and closed the night with Wild Horses with Bernard Fowler and 4 incredible backing vocalists who all got up from the audience to join her.

The musical style was avant-jazzy, edgy, and very original and powerful. Similar to the reimagined Tim Reis versions, but with more command and fire in the arrangements.

The audience was ecstatic! Many, including my wife and I were in tears of sweet rapture with her. She delivered the covers as you've never heard them done, with such masterful artistry, and her classic expressive voice really making them so good.

Do yourselves a favor and catch her whenever you can.
