LOL! That's spot on! But I love her anyway. Looking forward to this album

I am a big fan of Lucinda, but it seems like she has really perfected that Southern drawl-y way of singing to a point where it seems like artifice. I know she's from the South, but she sings now like she has a mouthful of fried chicken and Jack Daniel's. I say this with love, and will buy the new record.

Marclaff, it looks like some of the new songs she is playing aren't on the new album. It Tears Me up, Clear Blue Eyes, Stand Right, and River Man aren't listed on "Down Where The Spirit Meets The Bone". I did read an interview where she said she had another album ready to go that will be released quickly after this one, these tracks are probably slated for that.
Man, for someone who was once notorious for taking a LONG time between albums, she has certainly become quite prolific of late!

This is the best new music I have heard this year! It's the album I have wanted her to make since "Car Wheels". Yeah, those albums since have been excellent, some even classic ("World Without Tears" IMO), and all had some great songs, but this hits that same nerve as her previous masterpiece. 1:43 of pure, soulful, impeccably produced, country/blues/ rock (like the best music that another band I know used to make!). Gonna wear this one out!
