Out just this week is the new album by the British band Dry The River entitled 'Alarms In The Heart.' It's the best album I've heard all year--it's just brilliant. I think they are the best new
band in the world today--I really do.
Check out 'Gethsemane' and 'Vessel.'

Saw them a couple of years ago at the Cambridge Folk Festival - really good live.
The MC warned us 'they are loud' - which they were for a 'folk rock' band - the real surprise was the thrash metal 10 minute finish to the hour set - brilliant!!
Met the bass player and singer afterwards - really nice guys who promised to keep the thrash metal thing going
Not heard it yet but believe the new album is more rock than folk now...

It is more rock than the first one but there are some beautiful slower numbers also. The melodies, arrangements and production are all brilliant. Please check it out everyone!
