Bo Diddley and Ronnie Wood Live at The Ritz 1987

Just stumbled over this. How many others have seen/watched this?
When Ronnie plays his first song with Bo (around the 13:30 mark) the intro has got me so hooked. Bo's guitar tone is fantastic.

Have this on VHS since many years.
I almost forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder.

The rhythm guitar showcase round the 23:00-mark and a couple of minutes from there is nothing but brilliant grinning smiley

DandelionPowderman is so right. Do yourself a favor -- listen from 23:00 - 27:00.

I was at the show -- the crowd was mesmerized. Remember this was 1988. There was a lot of really bad music out at the time. The Stones hadn't played in the US in 7 years. People were hungry for good, authentic music. The whole show was amazing, but that short guitar break during Crackin' Up was an inspired breath of fresh air.

Was there as well. In fact, remembered that it was Thanksgiving Eve 1987. ;-)

Bo blew a hole in the roof before Ronnie even came out, then Woody finished the job.

Great as it was to see that show on MTV, still haven't forgiven their failure to include David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks and Sarah Dash's encore guest spot.

first time I am seeing this. What stands out to me is how great Bo Diddley is! His gutitar playing is really good. Compare this to Chuck Berry from Hail Hail Rock and Roll. My take is one (Diddley) is a performer and the other (Berry) is an entertainer...

Thanks for posting this!
I bought the CD on Japanese import years ago at a record fair in London (the guy who's stall it was said he always played it as he was packing up). Always had to imagine, up until now, how this peformance looked.
thumbs up

Saw them in '88 at the Stone Balloon in Newark DE. My future and present wife and I hung out at the bottom of the steps near the dressing room. When Ronnie stepped out ready to hit the stage, my wife screamed..Ronnie looked at her, and ran back in his dressing room as if he was afraid to come out...Priceless moment....

This was a great show to have been there. In those days I had a friend who workes the soundboard who would just call me up and put me on the guestlist.
