Is there an overview what acoustic guitar models were used for what songs in the Studio?

I don't think there was ever an interview specifically about acoustics. I do know that Richards, Taylor and Jagger all played Gibsons, Doves, I think. Don't know what Ronnie favored. Would like to know what the 12 string model on Wild Horses was.

It's well-known that Keith used to play a lot of Gibson Hummingbird and the Martin D-18, D-28, D-45 series models. But I would be interested what particular acoustic guitar was used for what particular song

Isn't all your questions answered in The Rolling Stones Gear Book?

I read about the Wild Horses recording yesterday in that book and the 12-string guitar was named. But do you think I remember - no!

I'd say that the Stones' acoustic sound from '65 to '75 is mostly Gibson Hummingbirds.

+1

Its all in there, session per session. But to quote from 600 pages is a little steep request.
Mostly Hummingbirds and Martins, as said above + the usual odd one.

Why is that sad? Maybe they are offline, or busy with work and life. It's just an internetforum where people are free to post or not without any personal gain. If you really need that info, pay for it and get the book.
