Just read on the BBC web site that another 7 shows have been added.

Fingers crossed for some other Uk cities concerts to be added.

Got my tix in the pre-sale. Delighted. Still can't believe it. Only slight downer is that they are not exactly the best seats in the house. V75 in the circle. I would be interested to know what Hammersmith is like as a venue. Is near the back of the circle and off to the side terrible, or will I still get an ok view?

Fifteen shows and now seven more added--that's quite a run, considering she's only played 12 gigs in her whole career.

From the Secret Policeman's Ball series, here's a 1987 live performance of Running Up That Hill by the legendary Kate Bush along with the even legendaryer Dave Gilmour, who discovered her.

Just heard on the radio that all 22 dates sold out in minutes this morning.

Just been reading endless Facebook posts by friends in the UK--even with so many dates, many of them were totally shut out of buying tickets, even though they kept refreshing the sites all day. Meanwhile, of course, tix kept popping up for inflated $$ on the resale sites. So many disappointed people--reminded me of trying to get tix for a certain band's shows, except that KB's tix had much lower face values.

Resonable efforts were made to stop the touts reselling them.

Max of 4 tix and one tix will have buyers name and photo ID required at venue.

Whether the ID thing will be enforced is another thing.

It would certainly put me off buying one with someone elses name on it.

Anyway,I hope the touts get there fingers well and truly burned.

Also , I reckon some more tix may appear when they see that some buyers have bought multiple lots of 4 tix for differant dates. I hope so anyway.

I don't think it is touts buying for re-sale. I think the demand was from genuine fans. there was always going to be overwhelming demand from right across the world for these tickets. I feel blessed to be going, so
I will stop bitching about being near the back of the circle

Kate was interviewed at length in Mojo magazine around 2005 and came across as being genuinely flattered and humbled at the demand for her work. She said she considered herself as a mum and a wife first, and a songwriter second - music is something she does when she gets an idea, and if other people like it that's a bonus.

Great to see an artist doing it genuinely for herself, by her own rules, with zero commercial constraint. Very rare if not unique in today's musical landscape.

@letitloose - Hammersmith is a great venue, one of the best in London. The sound is usually excellent and there aren't really any seats that I'd consider as being bad. You'll see everything and the sound will be epic. Enjoy.

She is big. Her return to stage has been about the biggest news - and surprise - in that front me thinks.

Sounds like being a wonderful night.

She is playing 22 gigs altogether up to October.

My guess is ,she will vary her setlist to include all the old numbers on differant nights.

To devout Kate fans, every song off every album is gonna be a winner played live. winking smiley

Hey there Silver Dagger....can I question you on that 1982 Dominion Theatre statement? All the papers are saying that last night was "her first gig in 35 years since she last played, also at Hammersmith, in 1979". Was she appearing in a stage show, hence not classified as a concert at the Dominion?
