The biggest Israeli daily Newspaper (Yedioth Ahronoth) bulished this morning on its back cover (usual place for entertainment hottest news) that the Tel Aviv gig is for now set for June 4th, "Hayarkon park" (open area), but that final details still needs to be finalized. Also said is that the former date was set for late May but had to be postponed due to a Justin Timbelake gig scheduled in the same place and due to the fact some municipal law prohibits 2 "mega" shows in that location withing a short range.

Finland often gets snubbed on tours. Logistically harder to get here. We also don't have a venue nearly as big as Friends Arena, for example.

Pearl Jam is the latest example of a tour covering SWE, NOR and DEN and not Finland. (In fact, PJ hasn't played here in 21 years!)

Hoping I'm wrong and Finland would also be in play.

It seems that finaly they're going to visit most of the west europe countries (Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Norway, Ireland... probably Denmark and Sweden).

It seems that the alternative was, on one hand 2 or 3 concerts in each arena of few cities (Amsterdam, Stockholm, Paris, Cologne etc.), and on another hand 1 stadium (or festival) in each country.

Maybe the european tour will be the "14 countries on fire"!

Arenas were always going to be a hard sell in Europe at the price they demand...

Lots of festivals then, well I guess it's a win-win, the Stones can play huge audiences without worrying about selling tickets and it's good advertizing for the festival. Besides the standard setlist is now "festival trimmed"...

The Rolling Stones have today announced that they will headline the Pinkpop Festival in Holland on Saturday 7 June and the TW Classic Festival in Belgium on Saturday 28 June as part of their 14 ON FIRE tour.

Mick Jagger commented: "I love festivals in the summertime and can't wait for the tour to get to Europe."

Keith Richards added: “Let’s keep this show on the road …the band are in top form so I’m really looking forward to getting back to Europe.”

The Rolling Stones - 14 ON FIRE tour sees Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood back out on the road again after a mammoth run of concerts in the UK and US last year, bringing their iconic music and groundbreaking stage shows to audiences around the globe. The Stones launched the 14 ON FIRE tour with their first ever gig in the Middle East in February, and are currently making their way through Asia, Australia and New Zealand, before returning to play Europe for the first time in seven years.

The band will treat their generations of fans to a set packed full of classic Stones hits such as ‘Gimme Shelter’, ‘Paint It Black’, ‘Jumping Jack Flash’, ‘Tumbling Dice’, ‘It’s Only Rock ‘N’ Roll’, plus a couple of unexpected gems.

The Rolling Stones will be playing more major shows in Europe in May and June, and these will be announced over the next two weeks.

The rumour in Israel now is June 4th instead of June 10th.

Guess this time there will be some transport between Werchter and Leuven as it is the festival.
I said never again last time, but just booked a hotel now in Leuven.
