After jetting into the UAE early on Tuesday (February 18) morning, The Rolling Stones have had a few days to check out the sights of Abu Dhabi. Mick Jagger – at 70 years old, still the most iconic frontman in rock n’ roll – took a few minutes out to answer some questions ahead of the band’s historic Middle Eastern debut at du Arena on Friday February 21.

Do you really think MT will play on SA - will Keith chance it and let MT improvise or will we get Keith only doing his safe little solo in his comfort zone. MJ has more experience with MT on stage trading off harp licks with MT on MR. Keith on stage alone with MT - will it happen ? Hope so

It wouldn't be a problem, as it with MR is ten times harder to merge in a third guitar - and they managed that - on a song where Keith is in charge guitar-wise.

Slipping Away mainly has licks, and the horns gradually take over.

Some Taylor melodic lines when the horns are playing, and the background singers are singing the chorus, would probably turn out really well toward the end of the song, imo.

Always thought that Glastonbury was a real enjoyable and memorable gig for all the Stones.
I never get tired of watching that performance since I got it.

Pictures of the souvenirs (the various wall of shirts and stuff) being offered (esp the Abu Dhabi specific items) would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I arrived this morning at my hotel in AD at 07:30 after a nightflight from Dusseldorf. Went into the city at 11:00am. Didn't see anything of announcements / posters / people in Rolling Stones shirts. I think it will be for tomorrow and concentrated on Yas-Island. Nice weather. Now i'm back at my hotel to prepare well for the gig (eat, drink, rest/sleep). So excited, can't wait till tomorrow. By the way: did anybody seen the tourjet at the airport of AD?

Party where now? Crowne Plaza or Park Inn or both?

I will be at the Crowne Plaza downstairs outside by the pool bar as mentioned before, but feel free to warm up at any party in town.
