Yeah... And it's not like we compare any new Stones album with EXILE and/or SOME GIRLS either, now do we...

Don't mind if it is.
Keith has proven to be a very interesting interpreter of other folks' songs when we've had the opportunity to hear him do it.

Honestly there's little reason to think that we're going to get anything better from Keith at this point than TIS or MO...and the fact that a cover is the first single ? Dunno...it seems like Keith's "ideas" would be better used in the the Stones context, Mick did manage to somewhat salvage OMS. What's odd is that Mick did say he wanted to record a new album with the Stones, so why "lose" Keith's ideas to a solo LP?
Let's see if this is an album consisting of "Keith's ideas" first

Keith and Lee "Scratch" Perry in the latest issue of Rolling Stone (the October 24, 2013 issue with the “Walking Dead" on the cover). The pair are mixing a take on “Love Is Overdue” by Gregory Isaacs...

Perhaps Keith is concentrating on material such as cover versions the Stones would not use.

Hi Rockman, do you know if Waddy Wachtel and other Winos (apart from Steve) are involved in this new solo project?
.....so far Steve Jordan is the only one I've seen mentioned

Waddy's gotten together with Keith on a couple occasions in recent years. Early 2010 and March of this year they were in LA for work on Johnny Depp's Keith documentary.
Whether anything from those sessions will be part of a future Keith release remains to be seen. As does Depp's film.
