What - did you buy Mick's old home?

Yes I did Silver Dagger. Only found out a few weeks before I moved in! I'm renovating now and lookng for ideas!
For example I was gonna replace the doors but now I've realised they are original 1930s and Mick would have pushed them, pulled them, slammed them, kicked them, and who knows what else. So all of a sudden they became very attractive and I decided to keep them. I started stripping and painting them!!!
Rockman, I've been doing some plumbing in what I assume was Mick's actual room. Nothing there. Surprisingly clean under the floorboards sad smiley

A Mick grotto at the bottom of the garden would be great.

With a statue.

And candles.

Bowie Stone. A few weeks ago I had a couple of Japanese tourists and I did let them in (they were very surprised that i did) but I'm not gonna make open invitations on a forum yet!!!

BUT I'd welcome someone to come and help with a skill/trade/labour!!!

GravityBoy that's a good idea - keep 'em coming!!! only the other week I saw they put up a statue of Jagger in Central Park

ChezMick, you might know or like to know that the Jagger Family a few years later moved to another home in Dartford near St. Michael's church.

stonesrule, thank you, I only knew they moved to Wilmington. Do you know the address? I'd love to take a walk there in this nice weather smiling smiley
On a side note I recently got all the paperwork for the house back from the solicitors and it was amazing to see all the previous owners including Basil Jagger!

It would have been cool if you found a stack of old Playboy magazines under the floor boards.

Are you a Stones fan, ChezMick, or just enjoying owning one of Mick's houses?

Was never a fan as such eye popping smiley but I always liked them and appreciated them (unlike the Beatles which for some reason I can't stand). But I must say that with this amazing connection they are growing on me!!
I'm a jazz fan but at the end of the day it's all blues grinning smiley

Cool Chez. While you're working, see if the walls can talk.

Seriously, here's an idea: If there's some old wallpaper (and you can some how detemine that it's the correct age), strip the wallpaper off and auction the scraps on ebay.

Don't modernise a thing.
Keep all the dust in place.
Look under the floor boards and dig up bits of the garden around the fences or walls.
They are the places I used to hide things as a kid.
In many years to come when us oldies ,including The Stones, are dead and gone,a blue plaque will be on the wall.
A place where children and grand children of IORR members will visit. thumbs up
