I think those took place in Newark, NJ way back in December.

I was about to say "I heard..." and make some shit up but I am not feeling very creative today.

There is a rumored private party show at Jack Nicholson's house with Kobe standing in on bass for Bill....

total speculation on my part but keep an eye on Nokia Theatre LA Live, owned by AEG and right across the street from Staples.

I heard Viva Cantina in Burbank

oh yeah! Forgot about that! In keeping with tradition, we should expect one, no??

You should expect a small gig but it's not decided if it'll be a 'warm-up' show or a little surprise tossed in later on.

Could very well be......but I do have my doubts. You'll know IF their trucks arrive at the place early in the day of. Eyes peeled!

If I were in LA (which I'm not) I'd be looking around town on Monday for some action.

It's BRIT WEEK and bands we have never heard of. One of them has just got to be the Stones!

Having said that, be on the lookout for Dinosaur Sr. ;-)

Yes.....I KNOW how large LA is. Toronto is also very huge. But somehow fans learn of the rehearsal gig a few hours in advance.

Fans at the rehearsal place WILL have a notion of where the small gig will be. At least a street and area of town. You're going to have to use your imaginations. No one is going to hand the venue location to you on a silver platter.

Stay in touch with them - the fans who line up outside the rehearsal place!

Thanks! Very good advice. Word should get out to the fans by about midnight - 1 am of the MORNING of the gig.Then to the radio stations and then to the web.

I am currently trying to find a way to see Blood Red Shoes on 4/29 too and save myself the grief of trying to get a ticket to any club show.

SOMETHING ELSE TO LOOK FOR:

If they pack up and leave the rehearsal space = THEY WILL NOT HAVE A WARM-UP GIG. They always return to the rehearsal space in order to sharpen up what happened at the rehearsal gig.

If this happens, please keep your eyes peeled and ears open for chiiter-chatter about small gig(s) in other cities!

Just some well-meaning advice......

Hoping for my buddies to get a Stones show at Waddy's place, but if not, is there a good reason why they shouldnt play a warm up show at the Roxy? Playing there has "light the fuse", "kick it off", "get the media hype going" written all over it

Why not go play a great, must own on CD, show at the historic Roxy.

I would not expect anything at the Joint tonight or any other night as far as a full band warm up gig as the stage is way too small...but maybe something else might happen there (though not expecting anything), but I will have my camera and will post pix only if the unusual happens.
