Mick Jagger - vocals, harmonica, percussion
Keith Richards - electric guitar
Charlie Watts - drums

Hey, hey, baby, honey, what's wrong with you?
Hey, now baby, honey, what's wrong with you?
Well now don't treat me, baby, like you used to do

Well, you got me running, baby, got me hiding too
Tell me, tell me baby, what we gonna do?
Now babe, honey, what's wrong with you
Well now, don't treat me, baby, like you used to do, ah, let’s go

Well, you got me running, baby, got me hiding too
Tell me, tell me, baby, what we gonna do?
Now babe, honey, what's wrong with you
Well now, don't treat me, baby, like you used to do

Well now, I can't help it, baby, if I'm feeling strange
I'm just hoping, baby, I'm not going insane
Now babe, honey, what's wrong with you?
Well now, don't treat me, baby, like you used to do

Produced by Glyn Johns

Hmmmm, as stated last week for Diddley Daddy, a worthy attempt for some white boys to cover a r'n'b gem but nothing amazing. They were still waiting for Andrew Loog Oldham to give them some direction and set them apart from all the other bands treading the same route.

The only thing worth mentioning about this track is that it was, according to some sources but not others, rechristened as "Honey What's Wrong", the original title being of course "Baby What's Wrong".

I love that period (1963) when they only wanted to be the best blues players in England, and they didn't care to be commercially successful.

Beautiful!

I like the IBC Demo's, but they puzzle me. The recordings just don't sound like the Rolling Stones. I'm not sure how many months later they recorded Come On and I Want To Be Loved, but they sound like a much more assured group by the time of their earliest releases.

An interesting take on it. They're already confident in making cover versions their own. These are very interesting recordings. Wonderfully raw and fun, and yet there's the sophistication of Jagger's vocals being double tracked as harmony on some other cuts from this session. I love Keith's guitar on this track. What does make it amazing is Keith's guitar work. He gets it.

Is this the shortest Track Talk post ever?
