This is from www.rollingstones.com

"(Hubert Sumlin) is one of the true geniuses of modern blues, but his long and impressive list of admirers makes it obvious that his strong influence has been felt far beyond any one genre."

Today, Tone-Cool/Artemis Records releases Hubert Sumlin’s new album, "About Them Shoes," a loving tribute to Muddy Waters that contains seven songs from Waters, four from Willie Dixon, one from Carl C. Wright and one from Sumlin himself.

Keith, a longtime friend and fan of Hubert, is featured on two tunes, "Still A Fool" and "Little Girl, This Is The End." Other guests include Eric Clapton and David Johansen.

Sumlin began his career playing with James Cotton before being drafted into Howlin' Wolf's band in 1954 as lead guitarist for over 25 years, and also served a stint as Muddy Waters' lead guitarist. Rolling Stone magazine recently included Sumlin in their list of 100 Greatest Guitarists.

The title for the link was "Keith struts on new tunes". I was like "Whoa, probably about the new album". And then it's just this with Sumlin. DAMN!!!!!!

"new" tunes is a bit of a mis-nomer - these were recorded almost 5 years ago (actually, come to think of it, by Stones standards - that's brand, spankin' NEW!)
