Band intros and BTMMR: Interesting that once again videos filmed from this part of the house suffer from distorted sound...

Mick Taylor is back! After some insecurities in the first London concert he has found his way into the Stones again. Keith Richards' playing shows his age a little, but there is no other band that can play Midnight Rambler like the Stones in Newmark.

Yeah, well, Bob Dylan wrote 'Like A Rolling Stone' and the Stones version is light years better than his.

Looks like the guy shot the show directly off the video screen. It's quite good and you can hardly notice it..looks like a direct feed.

Now we just need another SBD/AUD matrix recording to lay on top of this show...

Ah man..from 3:20 to 4:25 is that Richards/Taylor guitar sandwich I've been looking for. For a moment you actually do get a small glimpse at the classic Stones sound right there. Some good stuff.

What a leap from the first show, much more dynamic and musical.

There's still too much needless widdling during the breakdown though, let it breathe.

Yeah the noodling it still there in a few moments but he's dramatically evened it out since the London shows. He's paying way more attention to Keith and the various tempo changes. Jagger seems to be helping out too and guiding him along, making sure Taylor doesn't track all over the harmonica break he makes sure to say "I got this one!" Thought that was cool.

Loving it!

elpibe230, that's really bad luck, because you've got nearly the whole show and the picture quality is nice, but the sound is often unlistenable. Several people who filmed from that area had sound problems at previous shows, so it seems to be the location and not you.

Thanks for all the links......I've been to 35 or so Stones shows since '78 and the 12-13-12 show ranks up there with the best I've been to over the years.

I've only been to 12 of them, but both Newark shows rank at the top. Better than both Beacon shows that I was fortunate to attend.
