Yes brilliant although Damian Lewis could act out the phonebook and it would be watchable. Makes me wonder if it's worth checking out the original Israeli series?

Excuse me for quoting myself but since we're talking TV, also highly recommended for anyone who's not caught it "Band Of Brothers" also with Damian Lewis

Amorica flat out ROCKS. I seen them open for The Grateful Dead in Tampa, was incredible. Wiser Time is my favorite cut off the LP.

I caught onto the Crowes early and got to see them in some small town in upstate new york in a tiny club on the 1st tour , I think it was Rhinebeck NY.

I have no idea what TV show you all are talking about, Iam stuck out in germany and will not pay TV tax so I have no Television, Iam in a time capsule since 2001.

Sorry, I thought it was a crowes thread and Homeland was a new record they released .

Tonight it's time again: Another episode of the nailbiting series "Homeland". Episode 10 from the second season. It's like going to a Rolling Stones concert: The anticipation is the best bit. Buzz, buzz, buzz...

Homeland has been excellent. The writers have done a very good job keeping it fresh. Level of acting is high. Highly Recommended. Just start up with last year first. You won't be disappointed with this series.

Premium channels especially HBO and Showtime in the USA have done some excellent house programming in recent years that is as good as anything out there and with no commercials.

I have to say a bit dissapointed with last night's episode and the twist... started with episode 9. Question: Why aren't Brody's and Carrie's phones being monitored!!!!!!! Big plot hole.

Remember, it's fiction. If you start going into details you will ruin it, Whitem 8. It's not a documentary. Personally, after buying the whole concept I tend to overlook the details.
Of course, if it derails totally your only option is to stop watching it. I gave up "Lost" after the first season because of that.

Agree, Whitem8. Episode 10 (Broken hearts) was a disappointment. It's getting a bit too much now. I will continue to watch though. Two episodes to go of season two here.

I really liked season1 but in season2 the lack of political knowledge of the Middle East is too obvious. They are mixing everything, season 1 was about Al-Qaeada.... season 2 is about the same terrorists but this time the threat originates from Iran.

Well, the only problem is that those 2 cultures are complete ennemies, and that Shia Islam in Iran is as opposed to Sunni Islam and Al-Qaeda as Protestants and Catholics in Europe 4 centuries ago.

Linking Iran to Al-Qaeda as medias did with Irak 10 years ago, is not a coincidence...

You have to admire Brody though; US Senator, war hero, terrorist, double agent and a family man. How does he keep up? I would have cracked long ago!

Really the series has jumped the shark these last two episodes. I mean come on. The CIA is that stupid that they: don't monitor Carrie or Brody's phones? Carrie goes into the tunnels looking for a fugitive without a weapon!? Her escorts split up so it is just her and one soldier? This same soldier is an elite forces member and he is so easily overpowered by one man with a knife in a rabbit hole? Brody and Carrie are complicit in killing the Vice President? Carrie knows this and says nothing when she so wanted her career back? The CIA can't even connect that Brody's car could be rigged as a bomb? Brody and Carrie can so easily leave the CIA grounds after a major attack, when that facility would have been locked down?

All this derailed a very good series. A shame. Such a waste. Those writers should be replaced.

You are right that Iran has no love of Al Qaeda, however, they also believe in destabilizing any front possible and have there is proof they have aided Al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan by giving explosive supplies, training, and money. The show has many plot wholes, however, in this season they do say they are expecting a retaliatory attack after Israel bombs Iran's nuclear facilities.

I'd be interested to see that... I have evidences that the US armed AlQaeda in Afghanistan 20years ago, and in Libya and Syria recently.

Hezbollah and AlQaeda teaming up is completely impossible, Saudi Arabia, Al Qaeda, radical Sunni Islam, are the fiercest ennemy of Shia Islam and AlQaeda is currently doing everything it can in Syria (helped by the West) to break the Shia-friendly regime.

This TV show ignores those "subtleties" of the actual Middle East....

Prior to the start of the war in Afghanistan several high level Al Qaeda members were under house arrest in Tehran. After the US invaded they were released, and Iran began funding the Taliban in Afghanistan. Additionally, Iran and Iraq, bitter enemies, however, during the US occupation of Iraq, Iran began funding the insurgents and training insurgents.

Homeland just finished the 2nd series in the UK. I might have understood the ending if I'd known whether Saul was speaking in Hebrew (he was supposed to be a Jew wasn't he - name like Saul and that....) or Arabic / some other Muslim language........confused smiley

I was a huge fan; but the second season went into another, way more Hollywood, direction, and the show lost a lot of it's mystique and power.
Once Abu Nidal becomes a super agent, and the love story angel takes center stage I lost interest.

Season two finished yesterday here. They postponed the last two episodes due to the holidays. I'm still hooked and hoping for a third season.
Of course there are some plot holes here and there but you will have to accept that in order to enjoy the series.

I got hooked on the first two series, though am not sure how a third series will hold up after that relatively weak final episode and thinning plot.

The Bridge was also great. Surprisingly, it was even better than The Killing (the Swedish version, that is, which is superior to the US version).

So, time for season three of Homeland. Starts September 30 here in Sweden. Maybe it has started already in the States? Anyway, I'm looking forward to it. If it's half as good as the earlier seasons it's good enough for me...
