from the papers I read that Michael Cohl sued some associated company on the grounds that he was EXPECTING TO BE the STONES PROMOTER On the NEXT TOUR and exptected moneys forthcoming and the judge and I guess the stones (I conjecture) were like like no. you had no expectations, get off of my cloud.
in a nutshell. then cohl lost money on his broadway show. I don't know a lot of it.
Interesting that the article was from JAN 2011 & it states that Cohl was trying to put a tour together for last year.
If Keith wasn't able to play, it wouldn't have mattered what Cohl wanted to do.
LOL, Obama should introduce them in NY...
He perfers them over the Beatles too btw...
He could be the first of the two warm-up acts on the next tour.
He should but his head is WAY too big for that.
But yes, he should finally admit and show some respect for the boys.

Either way I can't stand the way he orchgestrates the tours. although prices have been a disgrace for these shows, I think they will come down generally, without him.
The 100+ shows every tour in North America while the rest of the world gets breadcrumbs always pissed me off big time.
Who did introduce them anyway, it didn't sound like Branson?

Branson has a partner. I forget his name. Anwyay it looks like Cohl fell out of favor, which I wouldn't blame the stones for getting them into some litigation makes people not want to get involved in stuff like that.

The Stones had already cut Cohl a break I think he didn't deserve. Bill German relates in UNDER THEIR THUMB that for some shows Michael Cohl tacked on an arbitrary tax/fee on every ticket, including Stones' shows. The resultant millions went straight into Cohl's pocket and no one else's. It was totally fraudulent, and after he was caught, Bill was shocked the Stones agreed to do another tour with Cohl. Someone—Jann Wenner? I forget—told him, "The Stones don't care." Maybe they should have.

When I saw the Stones at the Joint (at the Hard Rock Hotel) Michael Cohl walked right past me just outside the entrance doors. But Peter Morton (who founded the Hard Rock chain) actually introduced the Stones on stage. (This was the 40 Licks tour.)
