This all started because of a handwritten sign outside of a ticket broker's shop right? Pretty shaky until I see something more concrete.

Am I understanding this correctly - Wakeman is going to guest with the Stones?

Come back Jeff Beck - all is forgiven.

It's a joke. Don't worry. Although he could probably play the piano part in She's A Rainbow really well.

the guy from Yes??? Maybe the RS's are trying to appease those fans that complain about other fans standing and dancing.

Rock Wakeman will certainly solve that issue.

I'll tell you what - over the years on more than one occasion, I have heard people(i.e. friends of mine) refer to Keith Richards as Rick Wakeman. Seriously - it has happened a few times. I always correct them of course - but maybe that is what happened here. I haven't seen that board so it would be interesting to see if Keith's name is on there..or even Ronnie, I'll bet the tout of whomever it was got mixed up..

Wait a minute, we're reacting against Rick Wakeman playing with the Stones (likely a joke or error ) when one could say of Rick Wakeman, there but for the grace of God goes Matt Clifford.

Rick Wakeman could probably put on a hell of show with the Stones. Love him, or hate him, the guy's a great keyboard player. They'd only need one keyboard player. winking smiley

He played the beautiful piano introduction to Morning Has Broken by Cat Stevens. If they performed some of the more piano-laden numbers, he could be a genuine asset.

Capeman's playing is all over Bowie's Hunky Dory. He also played mellotron on Space Oddity. Bowie offered Wakeman the job as keyboard player in the Spiders from Mars, but Wakeman decided to take his cape and join Yes instead. Back in the day, Wakeman was to session keyboard players what Jimmy Page was to session guitarists.

I did not know this. In that case, yes I will allow it.

Not only that, but he also appeared as "Thor" in the Ken Russell movie Lisztomania.
