I've been artisticwise rather critical towards "Vegas Era", and I understand the point that if one has such a catalog, it is sensible to pick up the best ones...
But still... come on!
Since TATTOO YOU The Stones have released six million-selling albums (and quick minds can count how many news songs there are), made numerous hugest ever tours in human history breaking every record, and what is the score: 2 bloody numbers they think are worth of rehearsing! TWO!!! Are they joking?
Shit, and I'd been harsh when putting down the last 30 years, but that total ignorance they lately have exercised (CROSSFIRE HURRICANE) starts to like old-Soviet-like rewriting of history... Or do they need to be so honest when judging the past...
And they are right: is there anyone here missing post-TATTOO YOU songs? Right... not even the toughest of the die-hards who say to love VOODOO LOUNGE or A BIGGER BANG so much, are not making any noise... When it comes to 'chosing' the set list, the charm of the new albums quickly fades away....
No no; I am not complaining at all - I am just stunned how obvious it all is now, how 'pure nostalgia', acccepted by all fronts, and how clearly the history - the real story - is to be seen now (and how little the last 30 years actually matter)... finally.

Looking at the various news reports on google,I don't reckon he was in Jodhpur for the big shindig. No pictures or mention of him apart from an Indian report. They just dug an old picture out. Probably was seen at the 'Jodhpur Biriani Palace' in a seedy part of Paris.

Nothing much to report... The Stones are currently having a rehearsal. "Hot Stuff" has been played this afternoon. About 20 ppl showed up including 2 Jap girls and a lovely Brit teen... who came with her parents!
Adieu Messieurs et merci!

Champagne & Reefer is not a Buddy Guy song. Wish they'd do a blues they haven't done live before like I'm a King Bee, or anything else, so much to choose from.
