“Gloom And Doom” and “One Last Shot”

“Gloom And Doom” and “One Last Shot” are the titles of the two new songs.
I'd say the second one sounds like a Keith title, in the tradition of "Losing my touch",
"Slipping away" and "How can I stop".
Like many times before they seem to look for titles that would suite as a "final".

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

I'm not ordering anything before I know what's on the album...

This info just isn't enough:

"GRRR! tells the fascinating ongoing story of the Greatest Rock’n’Roll Band In The World, from their high octane version of Chuck Berry’s Come On, their first single issued in June 1963, via the thrilling chart-toppers The Last Time, (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction, Get Off Of My Cloud, Jumpin’ Jack Flash and Honky Tonk Women and the perennial juke-box and concert favourites Brown Sugar, Tumbling Dice, Miss You and Start Me Up, all the way to the present day with the inclusion of two new studio recordings recently completed by the group in Paris, France".

told y'all you'd be underwhelmed...lol

Prophetic album title relating to the fans' reaction and maybe prophetic song titles for the band's future as well!

That album cover actually makes Dirty Work and Steel Wheels look good.

If only somebody would invent a shuffle feature in iTunes/Spotify, etc, whereby I can reorder my previous greatest hits albums..............

If that's the cover and title, it's shockingly bad; and the title..."Grrr"???

I am stunned, it's surreal - awful title for an album celebrating 50 years of one of the world's greatest musical acts. It sounds and looks like a f***n joke.

forty licks brought us a tour we can only hope that we have a grrr tour, because two new songs in amongst 48 other songs doesn't add up to much really. sure box sets etc etc etc but surely they could have offered a little more or are we seeing that who ever does the marketing for the band be it jagger or whoever really don't get what the diehard fans crave..

It's sad,isn't it?

"The use of one of the most advanced forms of mobile technology currently around solidifies The Rolling Stones as one of the most innovative bands in the world and as relevant as they have always been".

They're pathetic and delusional if they think using foking upps make them relevant

I actually like the cover. Still, typical for the late Stones to underwhelm fans. 2 songs, come on. Don't give me that "they don't owe you anything" talk, I can expect whatever I want and the greatest rock and roll band in the world has to work harder than this to deserve their title. Big machinery with no content, their image only preserved in the heads of a few hardcore fans, for everyone else the Stones long stopped existing as a working band and they only have themselves to blame.

Grrrap

GRRR?
What the f*** is that?
May be Jagger has an Alzheimer's disease because of all cocaine he snorted, but Universal bosses are also out of their mind?

Not another re-hash of the same old songs. FFS, they have reels and reels of outtakes and unreleased stuff and this is the best they can come up with. I wouldn't buy it if it were 20 pence. THe cover alone is enough to put me off. If this is what we have come to lads, then don't even bother rehearsing Start Me Up, Brown Sugar, Satisfaction and all the other done to death live songs, becuase I won't bother going to London town to listen to Chuck Leavell and the backing musicians churn out another series of vegas shows.

This was their last chance and their big chance to go out with a bang. Try soemthing a little different, shock us, inspire us, not bore us to death.

Again - today's announcement was always going to be related to a Universal product of some sort. Not an announcement of shows. That'll come in a couple of weeks.

That made me cringe so badly. They seem to be at the hands of a really shitty PR firm doing their oh-so-amazing app-shite. No way any of the Stones really use this app (or write these cringeworthy PR-texts) - this is all done for them. Which once again seems to me like they don't really care anymore.
