I know that you like to go out drinking and you love to have a good time
You came in when I was drinking coffee having breakfast ‘round about nine
I won't interrogate you and I never will berate you about your lifestyle
But where have you been, lost weekend

What's that look on your face, you musta done the walk of shame
Your eyes are all red, get ready for bed, your hair's all over the place
Look what the cat dragged in, don't you call me your friend
Get outta my house with your dirty old mouse, take yourself out again
Look what the cat dragged in, yeah, you take it right out again
Yeah, look what the cat dragged in, yeah, take it right out again

Looking at the Sunday papers up what all the latest, it was so quiet
Checking what was going on in Syria and Lebanon, a bad fright, bad fright
Ain’t gonna criticize you and I hate to ostracize you, you had a bad night
Where you've been, lost weekend

You look like you’re totally spaced
Your breath’s got a horrible taste
You look like a leper, dressed as Sergeant Pepper
Are you going to throw up in my face
Look what the cat dragged in, take it right out again
Get outta my house with your dirty old mouse, you can take it right out again
Look what the cat dragged in, yeah, well, take it right out again
Yeah, look what the cat dragged in, yeah, take it right out again, yeah

Well, look what the cat dragged in, yeah, never do that my friend
Yeah, look what the cat dragged in
Look what the cat, look what the cat, look what the cat dragged in

Good song, but a little awkward with the rip off of INXS's riff. Some nice guitar playing by Ronnie in there.

A standard rocker which is more rock than roll, this tune is somewhat of the same band sound as most of the ABB material. "Dangerous Beauty", "Under the Radar", "We Don't Wanna Go Home" and "Rough Justice" outshine it by miles, though.

Kind of uninteresting, this is like the "Baby Break It Down" of the ABB sessions. I guess there are also people who absolutely love this song but in my household, it rarely receives any plays. The melody is just not interesting enough and neither are the lyrics. Sorry guys for the nitpicking.

Just to compare the guitar riffs.

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

Have always loved this one, from first hearing it was a top favourite o' mine from the ABB opus; the raucous guitars, Ronnie's brilliant playing all over it; the tempo, the energy..

In the Solid Rock bar in Glasgow before the Stones' show in 2006 was the finest listening experience; everyone jumpin' when this one came on and sounded absolutely vital and vibrant.

After a promising start, this song song turns into pure shite. It sounds like Mick slapped this one together in five minutes flat, with no input from Keith at all. Distasteful lyrics, no melody to speak of, lame production.

Utterly useless.

A solid song, it sounds as if they had fun recording it. Too bad they did not play it live.

I share IrelandCalling4's view all the way! One of the best uptempo tracks on ABB, and sounds less "committee-written" than many other recent Stones rockers. As IrelandCalling said, it has a genuine energy about it (as does Rough Justice), and I love the urgency of this recording. Another quality all too rare in the post-'80's Stones, but certainly present here! They don't have a song quite like it in their catalog either, so that makes it a welcome addition in my view.

I think Keith used quite a lot of time getting the fast runs before the choruses towards the ending right (guitar #3).

Writing-wise, it sure sounds like a Jagger-song. However, I like it, and I think the bridges are fantastic. Ronnie's playing is ace thumbs up

I mean distasteful aesthetically, not in terms of being offensive. I love it when the Stones cross boundaries and push the envelope, as in (for example) "black girls just want to get f*#%(ed all night", which is funny and daring. "Your breath’s got a horrible taste, You look like a leper, dressed as Sergeant Pepper, Are you going to throw up in my face" is just off-putting.

This song is pure shite.

i disagree. pure shite has some redeeming qualities; this song doesn't.

I always thought this song would have fit on Undercover. In a good way.

I know many knock this song and don't like it but I love it, one of my favorites off Bigger Bang. Would work nicely in live I thought for ABB.

i don't get how you can like the rolling stones and like this song. the two things are mutually exclusive...or something.

That's because they rip off the Undercover sound. They ripped themselves off on Voodoo Lounge, not so much on BTB, but back in heavy on ABB.

By the way, as a bass player, Mick is a great vocalist.

I like the story behind its composition. They recorded the album in Mick's Loire Valley chateau and Keith was staying in a guest room, and Keith one day found in his bed a dead mouse that Mick's cat had dragged in. So Keith had a dead mouse in his bed.

"Get outta my house with your dirty old mouse."

Such a Beatles fan am I, I also like the Beatles reference: "You look like a leper, dressed as Sergeant Pepper."

Complete filler. I had a difficult time getting through it the first time. Same with Infamy and Sweet Neo Con. All three tracks have clever lyrics, but thats not the same as good songwriting. Rap artists fail to make this distinction..

Can we talk about She Saw Me Coming instead? I love the melody but hate the AC/DC 'lets repeat the same phrase over and over and call it a song' lyrics. Love me some AC/DC though.

I love the track, just wish we didn't have the title/hook repeated so many times! Great great riff/swing/groove/whatever.

Let Me Down Slow? IMHO, a song that could be beautiful live if Ronnie and Keith got back into weaving.

it's got a swagger sorely missing since about 1983...and jagger is (for once) not singing with one of those off-putting personas....it's the old mickey that i used to know....

Anybody Seen My Baby and Streets of Love are the worst offenders on Mick's vocals...
