Oh, crap! I just got a friend request from my sister. I guess I have to "friend" my sister. Shit. I'm up to 2 friends now. This whole Facebook thing is getting completely out of hand.

I've reluctantly agreed to allow my wife to set up a Facebook page for me. So far I have 1 friend; my wife. You're welcome to click on it, but don't expect me to "friend" you or "like" you, or whatever it is people do on Facebook. I kinda like the idea of having the world's most pathetic Facebook page, with only a single "follower", and extremely rare updates which make little sense. I think it's funny.

So, spending time on Facebook is pathetic, a waste of time, what-have-you, but spending time on message boards like this is not? And who says you have to "put your personal info out for ALL to see forever"?
I have a "real life", I just find FB useful for staying connected with friends and family who aren't in town, promoting my bands' shows, following other bands I like, a lot of practical things. Don't know why it ellicits such negative, bitchy responses. Oh yeah, because virtually everything on here does sooner or later.

The people who bitch about FB are people who shouldn't be on FB anyway.

I'd prefer to show neither my face nor my book. I think it's more fun to post here facelessly, and that way we can each see one another for what we envision in our minds, whatever that may be--it would surely vary from person to person.
tatters, anyone ever tell you that you bear a striking resemblance to Terry Gilliam?
