As long as I use a dial plate on my mobile phone I do not have any clue of such appreviations as APPs or whatever.

In all the reent Tours the Stones tried to be internetwise a little bit upfront. But to reach out their fans and the ones who are interested they should slow down a bit and just give purely straight forward worthwhile announcements.
Coming to the rs.com it is just boring, though nice and picturesque, but boring. As long as they do not have even a tour thread covering the history its nothing. To me it seems the page was created by a 15 year old smart-a.. who has no clue about the value of the band.

Any Big News Coming? Yes I'm getting a bottle of red wine tonight and toast on the past.

aww rats...completely refuted...sigh...back to the rumour mill...

If the Stones are to play, somebody knows something because.....

1) Contractors have already be hired

2) Lighting and stage design are underway

3) Hotels and veniews are already booked

4) Truck drivers and hired hands have a contract

5) Sponsors and advertizers are submitting their bids

These are not done weeks before a show but I suppose 6 months to a year prior

A back to basic conserts (5 of them i O2 Arena London in November) with Mick, Keith, Mick, Bill, Charlie, Ronnie and Chuck. Doesn't requier big stage, design, truck drivers, sponsors etc.
Just a more simple soundsystem for this 5 conserts event, nothing more.
Believe me - that's it.
They started in London and will finish it up in London. No more.

What I knew is...

The Stones will promote the release in 50 different cities. I don´t know the list of ciries. But I knew Rio de Janeiro is included.
They will create a virtual event called "Reality Enlarged" or something similar.

the stones will never promote a compilation cd , or whatever with that
much effort

You're right. I'm not a fan. I should be full of anxiety, unable to sleep, sweating, checking their site every 5 seconds for an update, slacking off at work. That's what true fans do!
