Bootleg release 'Tokyo': download problems... (Bravado numbness!?)

...Anybody else experienced download problems with the recent bootleg release?!
I've bought this about a week ago now (august 1 - have been away on vacation, before that ;o), and the links that were provided failed from the start. Nope, there's nothing wrong with my computer, my settings, my provider, my browser, my Java! (And also the payment vie PayPal went just fine.)

I've constantly contacted this BRAVADO company since last week thursday (the day of my purchase), but they just don't reply...

...Anybody had the same (or a similar) problem? Anybody experienced in dealing with these Bravodo people?
(...and btw: anybody willing to share this boot with me?? I'm dying to hear this stuff!!)

You don't tell us what the problem is, other than that the links fail. I had problems with downloading too, this was my solution: disable your virusscanner for the time it takes to download the whole set. After disabling it worked like a charm. Don't forget to put your virusscanner back up afterwards....
hope this helps,
Remco

It never works for me using Firefox, I swapped to Internet Explorer and then worked no problem.

I use Google Chrome.

OK - first I log in into my account on stonesarchive.com (I read somewhere that this nevessary). Then I go to "My downloads"-section. I click the "Download now!", and then the 'MusicToday downloadmanager' starts running. The next window is the "Title / Size / Format / Status" matrix, with every track listed there (status "Pending".) I click "Download tracks", and then the first track ("Start me up" ) starts downloading (status changes to: "Transferring" ). And then, after a couple of %-es (sometimes 1, 5, 15 or 23%), it just blocks (gets stuck there)...

This is the 4th bootleg, like everybody here knows, and the FIRST time I'm experiencing difficulties like these. Has anything changed? (I don't remember dealing with this BRAVADO before...)

Is BRAVADO notorious for lack of customer's support? Or am I just having an unlucky streak, here?!

...Now, I'm affraid I'm gonna look compeletely & utterly stupid - but I'll have to admit (hope y'all will still respect me in the mornin'): I don't know how to do that.

I mean: I use AVG (edition 2012); I can open that program, it has een icon that says "Virus Scanner / active" in its opening window; but by no means I'm able to 'de-activate' it from there on...

...???

Nothing stupid at all. I'll look into it for you.

Found this:
The AVG software protects your computer on multiple levels. In case you need to disable all AVG components at once please follow the steps below:

1.Open the AVG Program.
2.On the Tools menu, click Advanced settings.
3.Click Temporarily disable AVG protection in the menu on the left side.
4.Select the Temporarily disable AVG protection check box, and then click OK.
5.Choose how long you want the protection to be disabled and whether to disable the Firewall as well, and then click OK.
Or:

1.Right-click the AVG icon in the system tray next to the clock.
2.Click Temporarily disable AVG protection.
3.Choose how long you want the protection to be disabled and whether to disable the Firewall as well, and then click OK.

Yeah Bravado is pathetic. They never respond to customer complaints or questions. I had a problem as well, all downloaded and then when converting from FLAC to WAV for iTunes three songs would not convert because they had an error. I wrote them and they never responded so now I will stop payment on my credit card and file a dispute on the charge.

YEs that is what I thought! I bought my FLACs from the Stones Archive site. And like I said three songs had errors when trying to convert, the download paused at one point and then started back up, and I think those songs are incomplete files. And when you email customer support they do not respond. Well I will give them a few more days then will dispute the charge on my credit card.

So there's a BravadoUSA and a BravadoUK?

I didn't know that. They should just sell both formats in both places then...

I had problems with Rambler from 1975.
I contacted them and they gave me a
complete new download chance.

But Chris from round here had already helped me:-)

Just another reason why iTunes is king. For the most part flawless and user friendly.
