Warrant issued for Actor Cuba Gooding, Jr.




(July 31, 2012)- New Orleans police have issued an arrest warrant for Cuba Gooding, Jr. after the actor allegedly pushed a bartender twice in a French Quarter business early this morning.

The incident happened in the 200-block of Bourbon Street at about 3a.m. A female bartender told officers that Gooding entered the bar with a group of people, and after a few minutes, other customers recognized him and started asking him to take photos with them. The bartender said Gooding soon became very aggravated with them. That’s when she says she approached him and asked him to calm down. Gooding then allegedly pushed her away with an open hand. One of the bartender’s co-workers then called 9-1-1. At that point, the bartender says she informed Gooding that the police were on the way, and that he needed to leave. Gooding then allegedly pushed her again, and left the bar.

New Orleans police have obtained an arrest warrant for Cuba Gooding, Jr. for municipal battery.

He always seemed like a nice guy when doing interviews. I guess some people just let success go to their heads and think they can act anyway they want.

Or, it probably means too much paperwork and having to fend off the press at the same time. Celebs are more trouble than they're worth.

He's been in a number of great movies..one of my favs is "Men Of Honor" with Robert De Niro.I always thought he enjoyed a pretty good reputation but hey, he may have had a little to drink or we dont know how big a hassle the people were giving him to take photos. They coulda been annoying and she tells HIM to settle down..maybe she shoulda told them to leave him alone. I'm just saying we dont know the whole story(and I certainly dont either!)but I imagine these days if a celebrity make any movement close to a "shove" or "push" the lawyers come outta the woodworks..

***Update on Cuba Gooding, Jr. Incident***

This afternoon, New Orleans Police have been in contact with the attorney for Cuba Gooding, Jr. His attorney, Peter Toumbekis of New York, has said Mr. Gooding is taking necessary actions to address the matter. Mr. Toumbekis has said he will respond to media questions.
