I'm going to go 4 great live albums by Jerry Lee Lewis:

1. Live @ The Star Club
2. Greatest Live Show on Earth
3. By Request More of the Greatest Live Show on Earth
4. Live at the International Hotel

I'd also add the following four albums by the Killer:

1. Another Place, Another Time
2. She Still Comes Around
3. Country Music Hall of Fame Hits
4. She Even Woke Me Up To Say goodbye

What about someone with a career of over 30 years and 30 great albums in a row?

That can only be George Strait.

Me too. Braincapers is excellent. On Mott Live (which is also brilliant) it's described by Hunter as 'the last bit of good luck, or bad luck, we had...'

"Love the Clash, but Sandinista?"

I agree. I'm left-wing but I consider this one to be a purge/laxative...

I guess putting to tape every "riff" that came and call it a song wasn't such a great idea after all... eye rolling smiley

but spectres isn't in the same class as the first four...and really agents of fortune isn't in the same class as the first three....but between the two of them there's enough good stuff to act as a single record that IS in the same class. so, i'll let it go...this time.

That's five in a row. Stick Pin Ups into the list, (I personally think that was a great album), and you've got ten in a row.

Well I understand the point and for me it's the first three and then the rest. But even some of the later Lps have some amazing cuts. "Agents" is what it is -- their most popular but definitely with some strong stuff and maybe one or two clinkers. I put in "Spectres" because I like it -- I think it holds up alongside and is comparable to "Agents." For "Golden Age of Leather" and "I Love the Night" alone even.

Anyway, just glad to see the Amazing Blue Oyster Cult get some due here!

Saw them live two years ago and Buck definitely still has it. Eric pretty much sits in a lawn chair for the show but the rest of the band is quite good. Though I think they have really missed Albert Bouchard on the drums -- he is really under appreciated there and I think the band actually swung to an extent with him behind the kit. Not to mention his arranging and songwriting. Anyway, all the golden eras end, but they still tour and throw out some deep cuts and I recommend.
