Hello all,
I am putting together a compilation of the 1970/1971 tours. I personally think the Stones were at the top of their game on both of these tours. I've also felt these tours never really go the press they deserved. Greenfield wrote that piece for Rolling Stone that was in David Dalton's book but that is really all I've seen about it.
I would like to get your opinions of the best performances of the songs played during these tours.
I mean, I love JJF from Some Like it Hot-Paris 1970. The intro is killer.
What other shows have excellent performances from 1970? I only have Paris, Malmo, and Berlin.
Same with 1971. We all have Leeds but frankly I think the Roundhouse show was hotter although the quality of the recording is poor.
Thoughts on this tour?
Thanks!!

Silly question, but did they record the rest of the show "Let It Rock" was taken from, and if so, why haven't we heard it?

That's Leeds 71, the well known mono radio broadcast.

A few songs are missing, though. JJF and Carol/Roll Over Beethoven come to mind.

JJF and Live With Me propably, those were the songs usually played 71 right before Dead Flowers, the first song of the boot!
