Maybe they don't want to play/tour with each other anymore
Posted by: rogue ()
Date: July 30, 2012 18:40

Anyone else get tting the feeling the individual Stones members don't want to do it anymore.

Charlie needs two years off from Ronnie.
Keith has got some issues.
Mick has issues.
Ronnie sure as hell as issues.
Wyman does not want to fly and left years ago.

Seems to me that without a signed tour contract gueranting money they don't have the desire. I am not knocking them if this is the case. They've done enough and set new standards that will always be unattainable for other bands.

It just seems that the word tour is not used anymore and it is shows or gigs. Then its maybe we will, maybe we won't
Now we hear Charlie needs space and time away from Ronnie. Well, there you go.

Maybe they should play and go on a worldwide tour together and see if they like it. If after that they announce that they don't like it, then you know that it's truly over.

Anyone else getting the feeling that this board is filled with drama queens?

Are you seriously THIS impressionable that you have to use the latest Charlie quote---taken COMPLETELY out of context---as one of your reasons why the Stones aren't touring?? And of course, you absolutely must need to devote a whole new thread to regurgitate your findings....

Yes, fine. The Stones hate each other. They've never been able to stand each other. They can't even stand next to each other. The real reason they won't tour is because Mick really hates Shirley Watts. There. Mystery solved. Go start another thread about that one now.

The band effectively broke up as a working unit in 1983. From then on they only get together for big, moneygrabbing tours. Their records since then (only 6) have been botchery put together on the very few weeks they (mostly Mick) have been able to break away from their much more valued social life.

There may be a hand full of gigs next year but it's pretty much over.

It was the alienation between Mick and Keith that killed the band in the 80s. Which is very well described in "Life". How many weeks do you think they have spent together writing songs during the last 30 years? Not many....

Not crap, Lunar. But they stopped evolving and spend too little time working between tours since then. Others things were more alluring apparently...

yes..i agree that a lot more good music should/could have been produced...lots of time wasted arguing/lazing about/indulging in crap solo projects (you-know-who) and resting on laurels.....too bad...lets hope the legacy that DOES exist isn't tarnished by any 'embarrassing' musical malfunctions....i'm sure you know what i am alluding to...(think:weaving)....

You mean they just want to stay home and play with themselves? How can you be a Stone alone? Not everyone can be like Bill Wyman.

I guess it would have been easier for them practising if they lived in the same country. But that's a luxury a tax dodger can't afford...

Oh Lord, by their age I hope testosterone levels have fallen enough that none of the boys feels the need to play with himself...

Pictures of Mick or Keith masturbating will surely tarnish the legacy not bolster the bad boy image.drinking smiley

Read between the ample lines: Keith is not well and can't play properly. Without a confident Keith, you can't have the Rolling Stones. That's the deal.
