Other than making an attempt to stir shit up by suggesting that there's some kind of beef between Charlie and Ronnie, this is a useless article. I'm sure every band that goes on long tours spend time apart after they are done. It only seems natural to want to do that.

Er.. that's just Charlie's dry sense of humour.

i've suspected a deep-seeded hatred between those two for some time now but didn't wanna say anything...

I'm sure if some of the journalists in question read how their rubbish gets dissected on here they'd be rubbing their hands with glee. It must be akin to shooting fish in a barrel for them at times.

That's a bit different than... 'I need two years off from Ronnie Wood after we stop touring'

Even with single quotes, that headline is a journalistic no-no, at least here in the states...unless you are a trashy tabloid.

It would have been more correct to say.....Charlie says that he needs two years........" (still out of context, but that's what they do to sell papers).

Charlie could've chosen any other band member's name instead of Ronnie's. He doesn't mean Ronnie specfically. He needs to stay away from the ENTIRE BAND (and touring in general) for two years. Anyone who wants to take the article in another direction is pretty dense.

Notice how all this recent juicy rumor stuff is attributed to two of the people who are least likely to refute it? Or even give a hoot? Shirley and Charlie. Any Stone's stories are selling is my suspicion and , yeah they'll do a few more shows. Didn't Mick have his tour hair on the last Stone's event. lol peace

after a full day of discussing pix with ronnie, you can bet charlie needs at least a couple of days to be "ronnie free."

well Charly with dyed hair would look much younger than "who the @#$%& is Ronnie Wood"

I can see Charlie saying this with a big smile on his face, saying it in a nice positive way, yet the newspaper makes "Charlie Watts has revealed that he doesn't want to see his bandmate Ronnie Wood for two years whenever they finish touring" out of it and create a negative vibe instantly. The whole article is full of "shocking revelations" anyway. Bull...t

I'm saying his word choice suggests they are planning another big tour. He is not speaking as though two year tours are a thing of the past.

I also felt I needed two years off from Ronnie since this whole Jo/divorce/rehab/20-something-girlfriend thing started.

Now that that seems to be behind us, and the Stones may actually tour, I feel like paying.
