She's my little rock and roll, she's my little rock and roll, baby

The heat's raiding, tracks are fading
Joint's rocking, could be anytime at all
But the bitch keeps bitching, the snitcher keeps snitching
Dropping names and telephone numbers and all, well
She's my little rock and roll, she's my little rock and roll

Scars healing, but the dealers squealing
The pool's in but the patio ain't dry
Well, the sense is sensing that the juice keeps pumping and I know why
She's my little rock and roll, my tits and ass with soul, baby
She's my little rock and roll
She's my little rock and roll, you got to shock them, show them
She's my little rock and roll, yeah, shock, shock, shock, my, my

Well, the sense is sensing that the juice keeps pumping and I know why, hey

She's my little rock and roll, she's got a feeling to know, baby

One of the best KR's tune ever. The middle section with that slap-back delay is an iconic example of the best last 70's RS music style.

Tatoo You has a very good sound in general, and so has Little T&A. Yet I find the song a little boring.

One of my 10 fave songs!

The chords are genius!!!

A glorious little firecracker from Keith, with snarling guitars, a fantastic rhythm section, and that breezy, down-and-dirty, devil-may-care swagger that only the riff-master himself can bring. Pure joy.

When Keith said you gotta have the roll as well as the rock, this is what he’s talking about; this one swings, baby!!!! (especially with that pulsating slap-back delay... and thanks KeithNacho, not being a guitar-player I didn’t know that's what it’s called until I read your post).

"LITTLE T & A...is Richards's song, and he was pleased with the way Jagger had mixed it. `I could have f*cked around with it for ages,' Keith admits. `The final mix brought back a bit of the naivety of the earlier versions, otherwise it would have been too slick. It's nice and dumb, which is what it's supposed to be.'" — from Barbara Charone's book "Keith Richards: Life as a Rolling Stone" pp. 192-93

Excellent song, like all songs from Tattoo You. And a great Keith-number.
Little T&A, Theodora & Alexandra. Coincidence?

A wonderful little rocker that captures the whole Some Girls/Emotional Rescue/Tattoo You guitar sound. I love Ronnie's pedal steel in there too - it really makes the whole thing fly.

I was amused when I learnt, on this board, what the line 'the pool's in but the patio ain't dry' line was about. eye popping smiley

But nobody seemed to agree on who/what's the pool and who/what's the patio...

I think the clue is in the word patio. God knows who/what the pool is? Maybe Pool Hall Richard!!

This one is iconic for me. Just a great guitar song. That hook is so sharp I find myself singing it at odd times in strange places.

This is Keith best solo song, imho. More Stones than JJF to my generation. I think it would sound better without the cheap delay effect on the guitar, just a Vox AC30 turned up a bit and some Mick Taylor slide guitar! peace

Love this one! Great, nasty guitar.

I missed out on the meaning of "the pool's in, but the patio ain't dry." What's going on there?

Along with Happy its clearly the best rocker from Keith..

Pool's in talks about the poured concrete patio not dry yet...

Great track from a great album.

My first Stones album was Emotional Rescue, which I loved but this for me was light years ahead.

Not wild about the studio recording. Sounds better here where it can stretch out and they use the prime bassist.

Love to see Stu gettin' his due on that introduction. An ok version but Ronnie looks and plays like he's about to drop. Prefer the studio version myself. peace

Anyone remember the version where Keith kisses Ronnie, or am I thinking of before they make me run? Can't keep Keith and his concert songs straight sometimes, he's done them so many times over the years...

Um yes it is a coincidence, sicko. Why would Keith connect his daughters to a phrase that's as inappropriate as that?

Plus, Theodora and Alexndra weren't born till 1985 and 1986...

Sorry to disappoint you StonesTod, but it was only on the cheek...on Ron's face.
