1: No tour announcement, no album announcement, not even one single song on 07/12/2012 to celebrate the day; this is embarrassing if we keep in mind that they are four professional musicians who are in business for 50 years and more. I would have exspected some musical legacy, e.g. a jam session uploaded on their site with songs from the set list of their first performance 1962. Instead we've got some ridiculous interviews, Keith's dimwitted laughing, a bunch of pictures of badly dressed old men, and last but not least a lousy sounding official boot from the Rolling Stones Big Band Orchestra. I'm pissed about it.

10. We've been on the edge of our seats for close to a year with wonderful products and bonus tracks and it's Stones Christmas in July for me. And a tour is coming. And there's more goodies to come! The documentary. Two more bootlegs. I would almost bet there's some kind of DVD Greatest Hits in the works. That might involve Jody Klein, whose company has been very quiet to this point. 3 out of 10! What do you want, dig up Brian and have them do I Wanna Be Your Man in your living room. Jesus.

it's definitely in the top 10 of rocknroll band 50th anniversaries

...a 10 would have been a surprise performance with Wyman and Taylor on the 12th...this was a 5 and I think I'm being generous.

I'm not sure which is worse, the subdued 50th anniversary by the Stones or the fact that MightyStonesStillRollin50 was not here to start a thread or even post about it. He was making such a big deal about it for so long. I'm very disappointed in him. Very disappointed!

Right on! I say replace the badly-dressed old men with younger, hipper, new members. Do this every ten years. Sort of like Star Trek. That way the Rolling Stones franchise can live on and on. They can finally snag that younger demographic Mick has been trying to get ever since he put that dreadful rapping on "Anybody Seen My Baby".

I thought Charlie was beyond reproach regarding this.
