Thanks. I hadn't seen this either. At one level, grammy's are the apex in this confused world of music appreciation. peace

I think it's interesting how it confirms what was said at the time about Keith and Mick's interest in Dirty Work. Keith wants the publicity for the album, Mick could care less.

This was the decade I least liked Mick, and when I see the playback on the video, I know why.

On the other hand, Keith completely irritates me to.

Don't remember seeing Bill and Keith interviewed together before. Must have shown now distant Keith and Mick were. And how strange the Bill sounds so ready to go with the group when he'll be the first one out in just a few years.

(And I'll be Jane Pauley would like another go at that haircut at the end).

this is pretty cool; i'd never seen it before; thanks!

i don't think they cared much about the grammy's anyway, winning or not; they never won anything there until the lifetime achievement award in 87

i mean fricken carpenters won a grammy, ya know?

so no wonder they didnt care

i dont even think the grammy's had a real rock category until after the 70s were over!

before that it was 'best pop' this or that and you got winners like helen reddy

'course even after there was a rock category you had such rock and roll luminaries nominated as starship for 'we built this city' or 'eye of the tiger' by survivor

confused smiley

some girls was nominated at the 79 grammys for album of the year but lost to the bee gees saturday night fever!

good grief

tattoo you was nominated in 81 as 'Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group'

yup. huh?

'harlem shuffle' was nominated in 87, 'mixed emotions' in 90 and 'almost hear you sigh' in 91, and they actually won with voodoo lounge for 'best rock album' in 98

point is, the 'lifetime acheivement award' was given to the stones in attempt to make the grammy's look less dorkier; when the stones were putting out their classic stuff, all-time classic stuff, the best rock and roll EVER, the grammy's weren't listening; the grammy's were 'behind closed doors' listening to charlie rich

these days the grammy's are busy with people like lady gaga hatching out of giant eggs to sing 'i was born this way' when that song is really just a rip off of Madonna's 'express yourself,' anyway, which was probably already ripped off somewhere from else

but jags did do a cool solomon burke tribute a year or so ago

still, the grammy's cant help but be generally dorky

Mick is obviously filled with confidence after the groundbreaking success of "She's The Boss"! He don't need these awards or those other two old guys...

Look out world..."Primitive Cool's" about to go upside your head!
