Is this what your mate is talking about? It's a repeat of the Alexis Korner Story of the Stones in 6 parts on BBC 6 Music (radio). Not new, but should be good:

No I think it's this one at 4 in the afternoon. Here's the preamble.........

BBC6.. 1.7.2012..............4 PM.......

Duration: 2 hours

"To kick off a month of celebrations on BBC Radio 6 Music marking the 50th anniversary of the band's first gig in July 1962, journalist-broadcaster Paul Sexton digs into his extensive interview archive with the rock legends for an illuminating trip through 50 years of the Rolling Stones.

Paul has been interviewing the Stones since the early 1990s, and for this show he selects some of his own favourite moments in their irresistible company. It features revealing and often very amusing conversations recorded around the world - everywhere from rehearsals
in Toronto and hotels in Paris to backstage in Amsterdam and even Keith Richards' living room in Connecticut. It's a rare insight into the professional and private lives of the greatest rock 'n' roll band in the world
"

A friend of mine in LA also wants this so I'll be uploading it to 'Hotstuff' on Monday..........

I met a woman and she told me...."well baby...... well the blues ain't bad"...........

Memo to self: learn to read 24-hour clock! 0400 is not 4 p.m......

Thanks for the heads-up.

A question: - How many times can you hear / listen to the same thing? These radio / TV programs don't bring anything new - mostly repeat the same old same old thing.
It is the 50'th year anniversary, but still.... don't kill the event with repating the same story.

Then don't bloody listen to it. Someone was just trying to be helpful and informative by telling us about the show...eye rolling smiley

Love that history stuff posted by Deltics referred to in this thread but....

Is it really necessary to have those HUGE flac files which are just reproducing a radio broadcast with alot of dialogue? I do wonder... peace

There you go............. [www.iorr.org] ..........

Apparently Mick's favourite live album is Ya Yas and he did scour Stones websites back in '95 to help him decide what to put on Stripped..................

I thought the most interesting info was, when Paul Sexton revealed
that abkco is currently working on a deluxe Charlie Is My Darling-DVD.
