Gazza, I've never been to a London show. Tell me this, are their pricing structures the same in UK as in USA? For example a $300.00usd ticket here would be 191gpb?
However, ten nights anywhere would take them 3 weeks to play in 2007 and realistically a month now. I really dont think the inclination is there to spend months on the road together.

I agree that 10 dates either residency or different cities would take close to 1 month. A 50 show tour would last 5 maybe 6 months. Can you imagine the demand for a ticket for the last show of the tour? Notice, I didn't say their final performance, I doubt it will be promoted as a Final Tour.

When the question first came up about Touring Keith said doing multiple dates in certain cities. Letting the fans come to them. Atlanta was mentioned. They usually do two shows here. They filmed the video for "Streets of Love" here back in Oct '05.They always do well here. Of the 14 shows I have seen since '69, the '02 show is by far my favorite. Just watching the Stones have a blast. When they played on the B-Stage, just the looks on their faces make the show. Bras flying up on to the Stage. Mick draping one of the Mike stand.Just pure enjoyment.
I'm pretty sure that video was shot in Ottawa, as it was all over the news. Perhaps segments shot in Atlanta?

I'm sure that will be the biggest concern for Michael Cohl, who will most certainly be the tour promotor, what are the economies of all the countries going to be like next year?

The only two cities I see as probably happening at this point are:
London 10 shows at O2
NYC 10 shows at MSG

My thoughts....
Many shows in Vegas...Avg ticket $700.00 and it will include 2 nights in a hotel, etc. MGM Grand since that is the only major arena would use it as a loss leader to get in the casino traffic.
Prime tickets $3,000 and will include a dinner, t-shirt, and other produced swag made just for those ticket holders.
Even if the economy is bad, people will view this as a last time event. People come up with obscene last minute funds for the Super Bowl.
