I did think of you but remembered that Skipstone once said that N.O. blew it in '94 because 'no-one' showed up..........you wouldn't think it though, the boot of that show sounds great, plenty of atmosphere.............

The size of the crowd at the Superdome that day was about the size of a typical pro basketball arena.
At the time, New Orleans didn't have such an arena.

I really want to get tickets to all of these shows and I'm certain that multiple Fan Club Memberships will ensure that I secure fantastic seats!
Anyone else having the same problem??
Also, I can't seem to confirm what the Fan Club gift will be this time around.

Things are heating up, and you know that old saying: "if you can't stand the heat........
By far my favorite show from the North American leg of the Voodoo Lounge tour. Not only is the crowd going WILD, but the band is on fire. Best version of "Beast of Burden" since Tempe 81, killer "Satisfaction," and an amazing "Monkey Man." Too bad the recording is so muddy!
But yeah, sadly I doubt the Stones would go back to the Superdome--a great and incredible venue in its own right. But put in perspective, they played two of their biggest shows in history from 1978 [80,173] and 1981 [87,500] there, and in 1989 drew a crowd of around 55,000.
By contrast, that VL show had a pitiful 33,000 people.
Well done. I have always liked that number for their 50th. I also like the idea of MSG in January of 2013. Should be televised live on HBO. Ten year anniversary of the last HBO show. My all time favorite Stones concert.

If they do anything at all, I can't see Mick only allowing a "handful of shows" to bow out with but neither can I see a massive tour as we've been used to............I predict this.......
