yeah i have tickets to the now august 12th show. looks like to me they are trying to keep the band out of the extreme heat and tylers voice out of the heat. most of the tour is indoors. the july 3rd thats now the 12th of august is outdoors. it was 99 degrees on the 3rd. i thik they figure snce our show has been moved to the last tour date it won't matter what happens to tylers voice after thatQuote

Saw them in Dallas last night.Amazing. Joe Perry in great form. Tyler great vocals, lots of energy. No vocal tracks, or guitar players hiding beneath the stage.(i.e Stones) great setlists with rarities. They were really tight.

On the spur of the moment, I drove to the arena in Houston last night and bought a 3rd row seat for $150 as Cheap Trick was about half way through their set, and it was worth every penny. Even if your not into Tyler's antics, which I'm not, go to see Whitford and Perry. The set list was light on 90's ballads and heavy on loud guitar-driven rock, and most songs turned into extended jams. Perry does every guitar god pose in the books, but he plays while he's posing and Whitford is just as solid while not as flashy. There was saxaphone on a couple of songs, but no brass other than that and the backup singers were just that - backups. The new songs are solid and fit right into the set, not a bathroom break anywhere. They even played 'Stop Messin Around' with Tyler sitting on the drum riser playing harp while Whitford and Perry traded blues licks.
For all their bickering, Tyler and Perry do everything we wish Mick and Keith still did - sing together, share the mike, walk out on the extended stage together, interact during the songs. The band is on fire and enjoying making music together. Catch a show if you get the chance.

Killer setlist, damn it the Americans always get more deep cuts (i.e. the rockier stuff, not just the hits). Draw the Line as an opener and No More No More is back!! WOW
Cheers,
