This is beyond ridiculous. It was okay to release it in 1970, but it's not okay to re-release it now? That would be like pulling all copies of Gimme Shelter out of circulation now because after 42 years they've decided that it's too unpleasant.
The Beatles preached love but in the end had little for one another. They started their careers spending too much time together then split for solo careers. The sons are doing it just the opposite. They are getting the solo stuff out of their systems first before coming together.
As this exchange clearly shows, it was you who brought the sons of the Beatles into the discussion. I never said a word about them.

Hairball, (the first responder to your post was actually the first to bring them up). Tatters, it was you who opened the door with this post. Granted, you didn't mention them in your initial post. Good thread, though. Anything Beatles gets my juices flowing.

Comparing Let It Be to Gimme Shelter opens the door to a discussion about the Beatles sons?

You didn't mention Let It Be or Gimme Shelter in your opening post. Your comments led to Hairball's response. Smart man, that Hairball.

RINGO OFFERS A CLUE
7/11/2012
Last month, producer Giles Martin, son of Beatles producer George Martin, said he was working on a Beatles project, but wouldn't offer up any details. "It is so secret. [If] I say something, I might as well kill myself, and I will try to avoid that." Well, Ringo Starr has possibly offered up a clue, saying, "Any minute there's going to be a special compilation you can only get on iTunes, but don't tell anybody I told you."
