Tie You Up intro riff

It's driving me crazy - when I think I've nailed the fingering, I plug in and it doesnt something just doesn't sound right. As if I was on the wrong part of the neck.

Great, great riff by Mr. Richards. Superb timing.

By the way, is that a vibrato lever he is using there?

One last thing, does anyone have a clue of what kind of effects is he using on this and She Was Hot (studio)?

Is it in E? I believe it's that common blues lick starting on the A string with the D and G, fret position being 979 and he wiggles that. He plays around with that. Although listening to it it might be something else but with the similar notes. Is that what you mean?

Tremelo bar is what you're thinking of.

yes, absolutely in E. then D and A and back to E again. fingering: either i don't undrestand what you mean, or you got it wrong. in my head the intro riff belongs to the same "riff family" of the riff that opens the 2nd part of knocking. the guitar in TYU is not in open G, but the idea is close. tomorrow i will try to tab my current view of the riff.

if "tremelo bar" is what we call "vibrato" bar, as the one that comes with a strat, yes, that is what i was thinking of. but is it a strat? wouldn't say so ...

effects?
