OT - Baseball!

A baseball break in the action - hope that's okay for a few of ya - I have a new book out - and some SoCal signings with a few ballplayers - stop by if ya can - for Stones fans, I'm guessing the only real time they have been down here is for the Pond and Anaheim Stadium shows- BUT - there is a rumor about their visit here to Huntington Beach to watch Gram Parsons at the Golden Bear in 69...

Hey Chris, I'll bite...Have you heard of Ebbets Field Flannels? We make all the old PCL jerseys and caps, etc. I'm the owner. Anyway, I saw your book on LA ballparks. This one looks interesting too. Cheers.

Chris, if I lived in SoCal, I would be there! I have been a fan of baseball and, specifically, the Dodgers, since they arrived in L.A. I own a ball that has been autographed by the 1962 Dodgers, including O'Malley and Alston. I also have a pair of bleachers seats from Dodger Stadium, purchased when they renovated the stadium about 5 years ago. Best wishes to you!

Dave - thanks for the good wishes - those seats are awesome - I have a blue club level model from the renovation - cherish those things, man!

Even though I live in Atlanta, and root for the Braves most of the time, I am a DIE HARD New York Yankees fan, and have been since the days of Mickey Mantle!

My wife and I went up to NYC last week and went to a game at the new Yankee Stadium. Beautiful ballpark, and we had a great time.

We also caught the Yanks this week against the Braves here at Turner Field. With my Yankee cap on all three days, I was thrilled at the sweep! My wife, a loyal Braves fan? Not so much.

:-)

SCL, wasn't that an INCREDIBLE Pitching performance by Matt Cain!!

It was SO EXCITING as they got into the later innings and the crowd was sensing what they were seeing unfold in front of them... if anyone deserved to be the FIRST Giants pitcher to throw a perfect game it was Matty... life long Giants fan, former season ticket holder etc... even though I've moved out of the Bay Area I still WATCH all the games on DTV... still go to a few games, took my wife up earlier this year & watched the Gigantes beat up on the Cardinals...

GO GIANTS, HUMM-BABY!!

Yeah man. That was fun as hell. they were kicking their ass so bad early on. It wasn't until about teh 5th inning I relized he was still perfect. Then after that incredible catch. I was on the edge of my seat. It's nice to see a guy who just got a fat new new contract go out and have the best season of his career. Now,if we can just get Lincecum going. Which reminds me. Happy Birthday Timmy. smoking smiley

Prior to that perfect game Cain was very underrated from a fan's perspective. But I knew better when he handcuffed the Marlins a few weeks ago. I went to that game and was very impressed.

Is it true that interleague ball will be the norm next season?
