Paris exhibitions of Stones photographs

This week I saw the two exhibitions of iconic RS photographs currently showing in Paris. The one at Galérie de l'Instant is bigger and has many familiar photos. Last Saturday, Dominque Tarlé was there, and I understand from the owner that he may be there again before the exhibition ends. Sadly the photos are probably unaffordable to most people, as the very best ones are in the 6000-7000 € range.

The other exhibition at A. Galérie out in the 16th arr. was much smaller. However, it was quite accessible from the Alma-Marceau metro station and certainly worth seeing.

Photos are expensive, true, but it should be noted that those in the €6/7000 are huge, around 120cm wide. Claude Gassian's photos ate A Galerie are cheaper but also much smaller. The one that was used for Run Rudolph Run is always amazing though.

Dominique Tarlé is present at the Galerie de l'Instant from time to time (check his facebook), and he is an amazing story teller, always happy to remember the context of each photo.

"the very best ones are in the 6000-7000 € range"

Please keep in mind the prints are huge and luscious, and the artist usually gets only 50% of the price. On top of that to have a print this big made by a pro it costs 300-500 euros. Then you have to pay to have the print framed.
