It is impossible to say! My copy was owned by Ralf J Gleason, a founding editor of Rolling Stone Magazine. He sadly died in 1975 but much of his collection was retained by his family until a few years ago when I purchased his copy. I have heard of about 7 or 8 people who own them but only know 3 personally. Records are not the main focus of my collection so I don't track the copies but those who do can tell you about each copy and the chain of people that have owned them. Some of the really hardcore collectors have owned more than one copy overtime as they have upgraded condition. The last one to actually change hands that I know of was comfortably into the $20,000's. It is a record so rare and so desirable that it isn't just Stones collectors that want them but high end record collectors too. So few items hold this status.

Thanks,
Matt
P.S. I am constantly buying single pieces or whole collections. If you have anything I may be interested please just email me!

I remember Talking with Alex who ran the Blue Meanie Record store in the San Fernando Valley in the 80’s he was a huge Stones Fan & Collector he told me about a visit to a LA radio Station were he saw more then one of the SFM sleeves & that they were tossed in the trash along w/ all the other 45 RPM sleeves, when the 45’s came in the sleeves came off & when they had a stack of them a rubber band was placed around them & out they went to the LA landfill,

Cheers

BTW
Alex if you're out there hope all's well!

I remember going into his store in the early 80's and he had a Beast Of Burden on the wall for $100. I thought 'Who's gonna pay 100 bucks for that!". Duh, stupid me!
