Ten ALBUMS? TEN books? You younger generation don't know you're born ...

The Desert Island rules are EIGHT "gramophone records" (that's songs, folks) and ONE book. And you are also allowed one non-practical luxury item. Have a look here for what the great and the good have been choosing from the 1940's to the present day:

I'm still waiting in vain for the others to appear on this fantastic show. Needless to say, a good few of those who have been on it have chosen a Stones song as one of their eight desert island discs.
