Do you view your birthday as some meaningless date on the calendar? Your 50th?
Seriously, if you want something in life sometimes you have to keep knocking on the door. Just imagine the Stones are passing by on their way to the B stage. You are trying to get their attention. Are you just going to sit there like a "bump on a log" or are you going to get off your lazy ass and try and get their attention? Get off your ass, tatters, stop criticizing, and do something! I am doing my part, for crying out loud!

I thought ABB would have been the perfect ending to their mega stadium tour days. Maybe it was. They can still go out in a blaze of glory with one last great album and one last great live performance in a theater or arena. Televised, of course.
The 'If Not Then Later' was added as a joke, then removed because I acknowledged it as rendering the concept of making a prediction as irrelevant. I guess your response came before I removed it. It had replaced 'If Not Then The Dream Has Died' out of respect to BV's response, although it is what I honestly believe. Hope I am wrong.

The bottom line is that I consider July 12, 2012 as "D" Day as far as the future of the Rolling Stones is concerned. If no announcement is made on that day in regards to the future of the band then (to my mind) there probably isn't any future for them at least in regards to some form of tour and/or new album.

You may be proven right, but I think they have kept us in suspense long enough. Time to seize the moment, strike while the iron is hot. Sometimes you can wait too long and all the momentum you have built starts to go in the other direction. Time to give the fans something they can grab hold of, something to believe in, a sign that they really are going to do something.

This is no rumor. It is a prediction. It's fun trying to guess what Mick is plotting next. I have the mind of a promoter so it's always interesting to study how a master promoter thinks. Mick is definitely a master.
