I wasn't really hoping for a Bigger Bang show, but I'll take it. And I'll probably like it. I wasn't really hoping for an '81 show either, but I love Hampton.

As some others have said, if they were going to release a Toronto club gig, why not El Mocambo '77? But I'll take whatever they give me. And who knows, if they don't release El Mocambo, it could mean they'll do a physical release of it or something. I'm sure they have some physical releases planned for the Anniversary, and due to the large demand for that show, it might be something they have up their sleeve.

The album itself rocked, the tour left a lot to be desired.

I agree - what do these cost - like $5 or something - We should be snapping them up with big smiles and supporting the release of more.

Even if it's not the show you hoped for I still think for a full show with really good sound quality it would be hard to pass up. Not to mention the low cost. Remember how much boots used to cost and many of them left much to be desired sound wise. I just hope they continue to release more shows.

Hopefully they'll at least dub in Keith's guitar since it was pretty much non-existant by then.

What do you mean, he´s very up front in the mix? Didn´t you see the two songs posted in this thread?

I wasn't referring to the volume level rather than how his licks have become so few and far between, most of the time he's just posing. Now Ronnie, on the other hand, still holds his own.

The problem with many of the modern recordings for me is the guitars are to far back in the mix and don't sound the same way they do on stage without being filtered through a pa. If clearmountain can fix this I think this could be a good show. Just my. 02¢

Did you see the two videos from the Toronto show posted in this thread?

From the videos it sounds like it was a good show. Can't wait to hear the whole thing!

I´ll ask you again - did you see the videos?

In the two videos, Keith is the guitar player who´s most prominent in the mix and, yes, he is indeed playing smiling smiley

I think after all 6 audio concerts are released they'll release them all in a CD box set.

beside the fact that this is a completely unknown shown, that wasn't available before:
can it get any worse ? I doubt it !

Well it could have been much worse, at least this has an interesting setlist!

If anything, the electric live version of Back Of My Hand in perfect soundboard stereo will be worth the price of admission alone.

The could have, even should have, done many other things, but in the end, the Stones decide what they pick out of all suggestions made to them.

yes, thats for sure.
but with only 3 releases left from stonesarchive, you don`t necessarily wait for
a show from the vegas years although we had to expect at least one of them being from the later years.
the good thing is that most of the stuff wasnt even available on AUD before.
therefore its a real archive release. I will buy it, listen to it onece and put it back in my archive......

Loved the ABB album as well as the 4 shows I saw.

Certainly looking forward to Toronto 2005!

I really like their cover of Mr. Pitiful. I like they way the sped it up. Like other people have said: unusual songs, a club atmosphere, and Hey for 5 bucks why not ?

Mr. Pitiful, Get Up Stand Up - those were from that DVD set Biggest Bang (can't recall, haven't dusted that 'four flicks' seen-it-done-it-knee-jerk cash-in in a few years). I think those are the reason why I avoid playing them. I was embarrased for the band when I saw those. And that slowed-down verison of 19th, I remember them posting a back-patting video on their site about doing that "slowing the tigers down a bit to find that swing, baby, that grooooove". It was along with the other video they put out justifying their fake drums on sympathy.

The whole 2005-2007 experience nearly wiped the Stones out of my heart forever as my respect for the band plummeted ($100 charge for the chance to buy $350 tickets, etc).

I have no desire to punish myself listening to this for free muich less pay for it. And fanboys, please don't take my criticism personally. I know it may feel like it to you; but I'm not knocking youir personal value that you put the band enough to think that this phase of the band is actually good.

Interesting. I dont' find anything embarrasing about either of those performances. The ABB tour leaves a lot to be desired but these are two highlights from the tour. Mick is the Man on Get up Stand Up.

I wasnt impressed with this tour I would have like the Elmocombo show instead in its entirety remastered. Guess that won't happen now as we have a club show now cant see 2 being released or two from same city.

Not for me. Saw 4 shows and only 1 was a bit sketchy. The one in Horsens was a humdinger.

Unbelievable.

Why do so many fans expect The Rolling Stones could stop the course of history and stand still in one timespot?

Look at your own kind of making love in all your different episodes of your life, being in your seventies now: Didn't it change from time to time in tempo and style?

You can't expect a man in his 70s making love like one in his 20s! cool smiley

The Rolling Stones are performing nearly fifty years now and you can realize:

The Rolling Stones have been allways great, in all the different steps of their extraordinary career!!!

And I like to regard all their developments, I'll look and listen to the documents, being happy about some archive releases, and I'm very curios what will happen next.

Excellent, gents!

Keith's fall seemed to have put them through a rollercoaster near the end there but they indeed reached the finish line with all men standing. I suppose all the board's negativity has gotten me more and more pessimistic in my posts!

Instead of Toronto 2005 I would like to have the complete Isle of Wight 2007 concert, very good show overall.

Sorry, but this sampled sound is like elevator music ... awkward and embarrassing, and Keith plays exactly the solo which he used to play for twenty years or more on every song ... Please, no ABB "official boot" ...
