Re: Toronto 2005, Light the Fuse...Is this the new release from the Bootleg series?

I cant believe the people on here saying they are gonna skip this without having heard it! Come on, it's only $5, and its a Stones club show! Which should sound pretty sweet after a little Bob Clearmountaineering! Sure, there are about 1000 shows I would have rather had, but this should be great. I am sure there is a reason they picked this one. When I think about the ridiculous amounts of money I have paid for bad quality aud recordings, to get a great quality club show mixed from multi-track masters for $5 is a Godsend!

I,for one,can't wait!

We should not forget that even on this board, amongst the hard core fans, the BB-tour was voted as the all time best Stones-tour.

That's only because it's the one everyone saw.

Well, believe it. I saw the tour, I was at the "Shine A Light" performance. This era has been discussed here ad nauseam. For me it's 3/5 of the Rolling Stones, plus a cast of thousands. And yes, even that is good, but I have consumed the nearly-identical product several times already and do not require any more of it.

Tele, what I like about this is the fact that it is a club show with a setlist that is far from "nearly identical product" to any other shows on that tour. I, too, saw multiple shows from that tour and they played better earlier than later. This was as early as you can get! Those who were there seemed to think it rocked.

I just don't understand a fan writing it off before ever hearing it, or even reading a review of it!

The tour may be well documented, but a club show is always something unique.

Great. Let me know how it is. I don't want to spoil the fun, it's just not an era of the Stones that holds any further appeal for me.

I was hoping for something from Steel Wheels tour. I liked the version of 2000 light years from that tour. Also gotta love Wyman in the modern era.

Interesting setlist. Not as interesting as say Paradiso '95, which we could use an upgrade on, but certainly worth my five bucks. I hope they're getting enough action to not leave it as six releases. I'd like twenty. Unlike some, I don't want every show from the '72 tour, or from any tour, but there are definitely some holes I'd like to fill with shows mixed by Bob Clearmountain. Obviously a '70 or '71 show would be cool, and El Mocombo, and a Brian era. But I'm up for this one too and will be downloading the minute it's up the. Light the Fuse!

I'd settle for one show from the '72 tour!

oh, what a pity. I expected much more earlier material than "bigger bang stuff".
Maybe it's has to do with Ronnies royalties. I am waiting, I am waiting, oh yeah, oh yeah... for England 1971!

Well, look at this way. If, and it's still a big If, this is the release, then you know the one in August has to be really special. I know, it's like seeing turds under the Christmas tree and believing you're getting a pony. But hey, I can spend until August just catching up on what they've given us so far.

According to people on this board, many didn´t bother...

which says much more about the people here on board, than about the stones as a live band.

Well I for one would be DELIGHTED! I think Pitiful rocks, Get Up is fun, and I'm very much looking forward to BACK OF MY HAND. This was a very good year for the Stones, the last one too, probably.

So much for archive, the word "archive" for me usually conjures up images of things that are old I was really hoping they wouldn't go down the post 2000 route. We're only getting 6 archive releases remember and there's only another 2 to go after this.

Hopefully they'll at least dub in Keith's guitar since it was pretty much non-existant by then.

I´m longing for shows from 69, 70, 71 and 72, as the most of us do, but in a certain way I´m looking forward to Toronto05, sounds/looks very interesting, might be something "special" in a certain way, concerning the setlist, the "club-arrangement" and who knows what else ....

And one thing is for sure: This one is miles more interesting than Miami94 or any stadium-show post 82, including Atlantic City89, it is just unknown in major parts ...
