Well...it's not an album. It doesn't have a different title, it's not available seperately anywhere, it doesn't have its own physical identity and it's only known as the "bonus disc" to Some Girls. Even the Exile bonus disc sold separtaely at Target was known as just that...the Bonus disc.
I agree that it's the best collection of songs put together in a while (only because they're vintage cuts) but to view it as an album is a little much.
Wasn't it officially called Exile Rarities (or EOMS Rarities)?

In the age of digital downloads and the virtual dissolution of the concept of physical albums, I'm wondering why you'd be splitting hairs.
This album is excellent. If they rereleased it in 6 months in vinyl with a new title I'd buy it, but I wouldn't like it any more or less

When the SG bonus material came out...I really liked it... and played it to death for a few weeks, as is often the case with any new output.
I then left it alone for a while before coming back to it quite recently.
I am now obliged to say that the SG Bonus Material is, in it's own right, one of my very favourite Stones albums.
[and this despite the fact that you can't get it on vinyl !]
Am I stark raving mad ? is it just me ?

They should release some other outtakes (if they have more of the awesome calibre of Plunder My Soul or SG) as a "new album" a la Tattoo You. It could be a huge hit.
Now I'm inspired to put on Love You Too Much....

Hi Tomcat,
i think that they could make a new album a la Tatoo You using all good stuff available.
In another post i included a list of that good stuff!
...and these are my favorites (without considering possible hidden gems):
1. Not the way to go
2. I need you
3. Misty Roads
4. Fiji Jim
5. Chainsaw Rocker
6. You got it made
7. Lonely at the top
8. Living in the heart of love
9. Save Me (aka Criss Cross Man)
10. Hillside Blues

I haven't heard most of these songs KRiffhard, I'm pleased to say (as it means I have more goodies to look forward to when I find them :-)

Out of curiosity...how does everyone feel about Dylan's Tell Tale Signs from his Bootleg series? It's an amazing group of new and alternate songs from his recent albums. When asked to name your favorite Dylan albums...does this CD make the cut?
One of the best collection of 'new' Dylan stuff these ears have heard in a long time.

I never did much like the punkier half of Some Girls (except Respectable), though I can see why it was thought necessary at the time to leave off songs like the bonus disc material to make room for them. Anyway, I was very happily surprised by how un-Punk the Some Girls outtakes turned out to be, and I love them.
